Zimmer Biomet's E1® Antioxidant Infused Technology is the only bearing option that utilizes a proprietary diffusion process to maximize strength, wear resistance and prevent oxidative degradation of the polyethylene.

Vitamin E, a natural antioxidant, stabilizes free radicals, preventing oxygen from reacting with the polyethylene. This allows Zimmer Biomet’s E1 Antioxidant Infused Bearings to prevent oxidative degradation of polyethylene2*, overcome the limitations of remelted and annealed polyethylenes by uniting oxidative stability with high mechanical strength and ultra-low wear.1,3

E1 Antioxidant Infused Technology:

  • Prevents oxidative degradation of polyethylene2*
  • Maintains high strength because it does not remelt1
  • Developed from clinically proven ArCom® polyethylene4
